Traffic Light 3 v 3 - Summer Program for U12 + U14 Boys
- The Halifax Hurricanes are excited to announce Traffic Light 3 v 3! A 3 week program where players will receive coaching and teaching, compete with special scoring, and play freely without limitations. Every session will have a build up of RED Light play, YELLOW Light play, and finish with GREEN Light play.
- Red Light: restricted games with a specific starting point or objective. Designed to help players understand timing and spacing in relation to offense and defense. There will be stoppages after every few possessions to help increase teaching and learning.
- Yellow Light: games that have a special scoring system to help increase competitive play while also allowing for repetition of a particular skill focus. Very few stoppages.
- Green Light: games with no restrictions or stoppages. Players are allowed the freedom to be creative and learn from mistakes.
- This clinic will benefit players of all levels an will increase the knowledge of offensive players as well as being able to defend. The benefits of playing 3 V 3 help prepare players to play within more space on the court offensively and defensively, while being able to understand how to play with teammates, as well as applying individual skill work to game play. The fundamentals taught align with Canada Basketball’s Verification program and will support individual player development.
