Halifax Hurricanes: Spring 2025 Programming!

The Halifax Hurricanes are excited to announce Shooting Mechanics! A 4 week program where players will receive coaching instruction on the details of shooting including: form, footwork, spot-up shooting, on the move shooting, shooting off the dribble, range shooting, shooting against defense and shooting competitions. Every player will have the opportunity to have a healthy balance of quantity and quality shooting reps.
This clinic will benefit players of all levels, beginner, intermediate and experienced are all encouraged to attend . The fundamentals taught align with Canada Basketball’s Verification program, and will support individual development. The program will be led by Halifax Hurricanes Technical Director Danny De Palma who was recently named the CCAA National Coach Of The Year for the 2024-2025 season.
BOYS - May 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th (4 weeks on Thursdays)
GIRLS - June 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th (4 weeks on Thursdays)
6:45-8:00 PM at Citadel High School (Bob Douglas Gymnasium)

The Halifax Hurricanes are excited to bring back 3 v 3 Action! A 4 week program where players will work on various actions to create an advantage including: dribble hand-offs, ball screens, off ball screens, cuts without the ball, post-ups, and isolations.
This clinic will benefit players of all levels an will increase the knowledge of offensive players as well as being able to defend different actions. The benefits of playing 3 V 3 help prepare players to play within more space on the court offensively and defensively, while being able to understand how to play with teammates, as well as applying individual skill work to game play.
